kinnara bird pendant
the idea for this piece comes from southeast
aisian mythology
she is half bird and half woman creature
she is renowned for her dance,
song and poetry,
and
is a traditional symbol of feminine beauty,
grace and accomplishment
the face is carved fine silver
her body is carved tagua
this seed has nice cracks in it
it's knotted and strung on a leather cord with
a silver chunk as the clasp when you wear as a choker
or pull over your head
30" necklace
i'm fascinated with the mythology
of this figure and will be exploring and
making more in this series
